Winter 2012 - Have a BLAST!
Normally, winters in Michigan are so icy and cold - this year, we got NUTTIN! Until 2 days ago.....
Then, we got bombed with the white stuff!!!
Well, not nearly as bad as it looks here - this horse was laying down, but I couldn't resist adding this shot to see how many I could fool!
Here are the hens, all lined up like chorus girls at the gate, ready for their vittles in the morning....Black Pearl is the leader of them all, front and center!
She's a 'Black Sex Link" hen, and has always shown her leadership abilities even as a young peep!
Oh, so cute! Just look at that expression!!! Just reviewing her "peephood" photo makes me think about adding new peeps in the spring......Awwwwwww......

That is a lot of snow! We haven't gotten a good snow yet. I'm now wondering if we will. I bought a snow shovel and new sleds for the kids because I thought we were going to get a good snow this year! lol

I just love these black sex link hens. They have so much personality. One of ours is actually a little crazy. She trys to jump up on us when we come through the door. Like she just wants to be first to get what we have - at all cost.
Oh those girls are gorgeous! Great photos - I know how hard it is to get a picture of a chicken with it's head UP! : -) Mine hate the snow - I have to coax them out of the coop.

I have so missed you. I have been sick since before Christmas and am just getting back out and about the last week or so. Trying to play catch up.
I love seeing the girls all in a row. They look so lovely and happy, happy, happy.
